Error 404 on IPTV: What to Do and Why It’s Not the App’s Fault

More and more IPTV users are encountering the 404 error or the message 'Channel no longer available.' This issue may seem related to the app, but it is actually caused by external factors such as internet provider blocks or malfunctioning playlists. Let’s find out how to solve it.

Why Does Error 404 Appear?

Error 404 or the message “Channel no longer available” occurs when the internet provider blocks access to certain IP addresses. This often happens with IPTV streams, especially for sports or live content.

How to Solve the Problem?

If your IPTV playlist is still active and functional, here’s what you can do:

  1. Change Your Network’s DNS
Use alternative DNS services like Google’s (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare’s (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1). This can bypass any blocks imposed by your provider.
Read here how to change the DNS.
  2. Use a Paid VPN
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows you to mask your connection and access IPTV streams without geographic restrictions or blocks.
  3. Check the Playlist
Sometimes the issue lies in the IPTV playlist itself. Ensure that the provider has updated the streams and that they are still active.

The App Works Perfectly

If you see the “Channel no longer available” error, rest assured that the IPTV Television app is working properly. The issue is not with the app but with the network or playlist you’re using. We constantly update the app to provide the best possible experience.

Another test: Try downloading the playlist with Google Chrome.

In many cases, the playlist is unavailable or inaccessible. An easy test is to try entering the URL of your playlist in a browser (we recommend Google Chrome) and check if your playlist is downloaded.
